Whitening

Teeth whitening is  one of the most commonly recommended or requested cosmetic procedures. Whitening removes stain from teeth and is a safe and effective way to improve the appearance of your smile.

There are two whitening options that can be discussed with your dentist.  The most recommended is a system that uses upper and lower custom made, soft flexible trays and a whitening gel.  The trays are worn for several hours and allows you to have control over how much whitening is done.  Results are achieved anywhere from a few days to several weeks.

If your teeth need to be whitened faster, we offer an in-office treatment that can achieve great results in 1-2 hours.  Since the whitening results are not permanent, custom trays are recommended to maintain your smile.

Once the treatment is fully complete, you will be asked to stay away from certain foods and beverages that have a high pigment level. These foods and beverages may include items such as tomato sauce, juice, coffee, red wine, or tobacco. The patient should stay away from these items for at least 24 hours after the procedure is complete in order to allow the enamel pores to close. This will help prevent staining.
